device. This will hasten the job and saves money than buying multiple printers. Here are some tips on how to connect two or more computers in one printer.

Depending on the operating system that you are using, certain steps are needed to follow to establish a connection between multiple computers and a single printer:

 

For Windows XP and Windows 2000:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
  2. Select the Printers and Faxes icon.
  3. Right click the printer that is installed and then click Properties.
  4. In the Properties Window, click Shared.

 

For Windows 95 and Windows 98:

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Network.
  3. The Network Window will open and under the Configuration tab, select the File and Sharing button.
  4. In the File and Sharing window, check the “I want to be able to allow others to print to my printer”. The computer may ask you to reboot your computer, if asked, restart your computer.
  5. Click Ok to close the Network Window.
  6. Double click Printers in the Control panel.
  7. Select the Printer that is already installed then right-click the Printer icon then choose Properties.
  8. In the Properties Window, click the Share tab to share the printer to other computers.

 

When you successfully shared the printer to your computers, you can now start to transfer data to be printed. Make sure that the ink cartridges are installed properly and not dried or empty. If they are empty, replace your printer inkjet cartridges to start printing. Your printer ink cartridgesmay run dry faster due to the number of computers that transfer files to the printer to be printed.
