The Gold Coast will provide endless entertainment but don’t let it distract you from a 2 day trip to the Great Barrier Reef.
5. Dive at the Great Barrier Reef
There is no question that the Great Barrier Reef is worth a visit. Make sure you stop off and learn to dive so that you can swim amongst the coral of this natural wonder.
6. Trek in the Desert
After a good relax on the beaches of the Gold coast you will need to hop aboard a plane and fly out to Birdsville. This is the closest you can get to Uluru and will enable you to begin a journey past some fantastic scenery toward the target destination. Take in the beauty of Lake Eyre on the way to Uluru and experience the look and feel of the outback.
Once at Uluru you will not regret having come. Be sure to appreciate this giant outcrop of rock which stands tall from the desert floor and spans a remarkable 5 kilometres around.
